Ocaña Recognises Ecuador’s Heroism
Citziens of Guayaquil. For the last few weeks, I have been working hard at Ocana to represent our shared interets, and develop a consitution that finally works for Ecuador and Guayaquil. I can happily say that we have been granted all that we asked for! After the huge sacrifices we all made during the wars of liberation, the convention has agreed to repay our efforts with a 10 year development fund comprised of 20% of all domestic funding to devlop Ecuador, and provide us all with the prosperity they have earned. Furthermore, if it is passed, we will elect a local assembly of Guayaquil to decide how our budget is spent, to ensure your hard earned tax money is spent on you - the days of far off governors deciding your fate without even visiting the market to see the price of local food! However, some power hungry indviduals wish to send you off to war to fight against our own government by seceding! These fools would plunge our nation back into war, and invite a Peruvian invasion, and for what? The right to use our currently meagre tax money conscripting our citizens to fight and die? To this I say no. To you I say - this constitution will change Ecuador forever, from a war torn but proud and victorious region, to a province ripe with the fruits of victory that we have fought for so hard. Viva Guayaquil! Viva Colombia!
